Let me explain.

It's the ultimate savvy hub for the latest and greatest in beauty trends--Scottsdale's V Spot Salon, located in the heart of Old Town amidst the quaint 5th Avenue Shopping District.  The beautifying home-base is owned by Lulu Burt, bound to deliver Valley vixens top notch treatments.

We caught up with Lulu, who opened her booming business this past October.  She says there's a handful of products and procedures now debuting at her stylish salon just in time for summer.

The first on her must-try list is feather extensions, made popular flaunted by  during "."  However, the eccentric accessory is now a fabulous fad--women of all ages are sporting the bohemian look.

"We have everything from housewives and young girls requesting these extensions," said Lulu Burt, owner, V Spot Salon.

Each individually unique and colorful extension is sold for $25--and that includes the application process.  The semi-permanent addition lasts 4-6 weeks and takes a mere minute to apply.

"It's something totally fresh and different," she said.

Also fresh and different: artistic nails.

"This is one of the hottest things to hit the market."

Lulu calls her newest baby instant nail art--colorfully designed nail stickers sealed with her special gel.

"My coating ensures a secure stay for 2-4 weeks."

The stickers come in an array of options like leapord, lace, and polka dot, and they add a special pizazz to any diva's hand.  The product just arrived to her salon, so if you hurry, you'll be one of the first to boast this V Spot special.  She says the stickers do not damage your nails, but they must be professionally removed.  The made-over manicurewill cost you $45.

Next, be ready to vogue some va-voom lashes.  The V Spot Salon recently started offering permanent eyelash extensions, giving your lashes an endearingly exotic look.  The extensions are individually glued to each lash, about 50-80 per eye.  Lulu says the treatment will double your lashes, as long as you care for them with special mascara and eye remover sold at the salon.  The initial application costs $150, and you can upkeep their volume by filling them every 4-6 weeks...that costs $50.

"Big lashes are always in."

And so is a glowing tan...especially for us lovely ladies living in the Valley of the Sun.

To beat the heat and avoid skin damage, The V Spot offers the latest in custom airbrush spray tanning.  If you're skeptical you'll turn out a little discolored--no worries; her Norvell product ensures a safe, odorless, orange-less natural-looking tan that lasts 5-7 days.

I'm very happy with V Spot. The owner is very friendly and the place is nice, simple and cozy. I'd found them thru the daily deals and had my first Shellac mani/pedi and loved it. My schedule is limited & with the last 2 appointments Lulu always made sure someone was there and available to take my appointments, even on their off days! The nail tech took her time pampering me and with a smile all the way through which is a nice change from other places I've gone to that just looks like they are tired of their job or just dont want to be there. Great service. I plan to be back when I'm in the area.

4/1/2011 i had taken the oppurtunity to pamper myself on my day off of work, so of course i chose the v spot salon. Its the greatest salon yet, and ive been to plenty. the vibe u get when u walk in is amazing , you whole day brightens up. but most importantly THE SERVICES. were FANTASTIC. no way could shellac nails done by ade could EVER chip unles YOU are to hard on them. i will deffinatly be returning!

I came to V Spot with a few of my girlfriends to get our makeup and hair done. I can honestly say I have never felt so beautiful :).  

To start off, the girls working all had GREAT personalities and welcome you instantly. This salon is a very nice change from the usual "snotty" Scottsdale. Everyone was in a great mood talking and chatting as if they knew you for years. I know for me, I would rather be talking to everyone, rather then being starred at (my usual experience) while getting all glammed up. What I appreciated the most was that the girls took their time, and made sure that I was happy before leaving. They did not rush my makeup application or doing my hair. Lulu does a great job making you feel special by bringing you champagne and making sure you are comfortable- not to mention her kind words!

I will most definitely be bringing my sister here when she is in town!

I was killing time by doing some window shopping in Old Town Scotsdale when I came upon this little salon in the midst of trinket and jewelry stores. The enthusiastic and positive energy of the people inside drew me in. What fun!  I asked if they had time for a manicure and they took me right away; one of the girls was getting shellac on her nails instead of regular polish. I had never heard of this, so I gave it a try.  AWESOME!  I'm hooked!  They were all educated in their craft, professional, and a very fun group.  I also got some body bling; glitter and rhinestone application called "vajazzle."  If you're looking for a fun salon that does a professional job, this is your "V Spot."

 Lulu & Bri~ Thank you so much for opening your salon early today for my morning of beauty before my photo shoot. Your salon is totally glam and I loved every minute there being pampered with hair & make-up. Bri's attention to my make-up and hair was perfect for my sexy, glamourous shoot. I have gotten my make-up done several times by other artists/ stylists and Bri was a complete doll. I felt comfortable and confident that she would make my request come alive.. and that she did. I went from drab to fab in 90 minutes and ready for my supermodel pictures! THANK YOU so very much. I will be back to see you both and will be spreading the word about the V-spot. I had a friend visiting from Boston last week and V Spot was an amazing place to wrap up our weekend. We both had mani's and pedi's against the backdrop of funky pink walls and beautiful decor. Throw in a couple of glasses of champagne and you have two very happy customers. I loved the experience and am going to book a party there for a bridal shower I am throwing. Would recommend to everyone.

The most Fun salon in Scottsdale!  Lulu and her crew love to pamper you - from the moment you walk in the door, you're treated like a queen!  It doesn't hurt that they put a glass of champagne in your hand right away, either!  My pedicures having been relaxing, and look marvelous.  They always take their time with me, and I never feel rushed.  They've got lots of fun, blingy jewelry to try on and buy.  I keep looking on their list of services at the Vajazzling - I haven't worked up the nerve to try it yet, but I will one of these days!  A great experience every time I've been there, so glad I found them :)

All tucked up discretely along 5th ave is this little girly haven. It's all pink and black with some retro modern flair, tons of sparkle and zebra print . I was lured in by a livingsocial Brazilian deal and my curiosity of Vajazzling? I was really happy with my experience. The place was super clean and adorable (as previously mentioned) and every employee there was a super sweetheart. Pearl was my girl and she did an awesome job. I even had fun while I was there. It gave me  the opportunity to talk all I wanted about how much fun my life is since I discovered groupon/ living social deals amongst the other goofy things that cross my mind while in slightly awkward situations. When all was said and done I opted against vajazzling, wanting to give some thought to a design that would stay attached for up to 2 weeks. Who knew? They can even customize designs for you. Vagina art ha! When I got home my boyfriend was pissed that I didn't take them up on their deal, expecting his name or something written across me in rhinestones haha... Maybe next time guy...Bday's around the corner... Anyways, they offer other salon services there as well. I will definitely return and try out this new fad... at least once :)

I went by myself on a Sunday afternoon, and had no trouble scheduling an appointment 2 days earlier. The manicure looked great, but I noticed a few things. They didn't soak my hands first or do any of the other services (lotion, scrub) that I have had at manicures in the past. Also, I like going to salons where the tools come out of a sanitized, sealed bag instead of just being sprayed with disinfectant before they are used on my hands. But that's just me being a germ freak. Also, since I did pay with a 'online deal', they maybe didn't do their full manicure that they would normally do if I paid full price. Not sure. Overall, my hands looked fabulous when I left and I had a fun time -  I'll never go back to a regular manicure again. Shelllac is the best! It's not really a place to be picky about your nail/pedi service, especially since they offer so many other fun services,  it's a place to go with a girlfriend for a glass of champagne and some pampering!!
